The riverside footbridge and open-air walkway between Everyman, Goldsmiths and John Lewis at Bond Street Chelmsford

Accessibility and Facilities

Getting around

Is Bond Street step-free?

Yes. It is on one level, with no cobbles or gradients. Lifts run from the underground car park to street level, and stores on more than one level have their own lifts.

How do the lifts work?

There are four lifts from the car park: two take you up to street level, and two take you straight into John Lewis.

Is there accessible parking?

Yes. Accessible Blue Badge bays are at the rear of the underground car park, which is open 24 hours.

Are there toilets and baby-change?

Bond Street does not have its own public toilets; John Lewis and the restaurants have toilets, including accessible toilets and baby-change, and John Lewis has a Parents' Room.

Can I visit with a buggy?

Yes. The single-level layout and the lifts from the car park make it easy with a buggy.

Are assistance dogs welcome?

Yes, assistance dogs are welcome everywhere. Pet dogs are welcome across the streets and riverside and in many shops and restaurants; Bill’s has a dog menu.

What access support does Everyman offer?

The Everyman has step-free access to all six screens by lift, with assisted-hearing and T-Coil, audio description and subtitles where the film distributor provides them. Check the film listing before booking.
